Making a large city able to react, adapt and plan in real time requires a widespread digital infrastructure. It is the precondition for every smart service.
The challenge
Equipping the urban area with advanced, capillary connectivity able to enable communication between IoT devices, digital platforms and citizen services, while minimising the impact on residents during the works and guaranteeing continuity of existing services.
The solution
The IFM Group designed and built the enabling infrastructure, integrating fibre optic networks, smart 5G antennas and nodes distributed across the area.
- Laying of fibre optic networks along the main urban routes;
- Installation of smart 5G antennas;
- Creation of distributed nodes for widespread connectivity;
- Integration of IoT devices and management platforms.
An infrastructure that does more than connect: it enables urban services that respond in real time.
The results
The infrastructure delivered is the technological foundation for the city’s smart services: intelligent mobility, environmental sensors, flow monitoring and digital services for citizens. (Quantitative data to be confirmed with IFM.)
